Project Details:

This approximately 3,985 sq ft residence was designed to feel comfortable for everyday family life while remaining flexible enough to adapt over time.
Non-load-bearing walls around the kitchen and primary bedroom were removed to open the plan and improve circulation. The living room, kitchen, and hallway now connect more naturally, while the garden-facing living area was opened to maximize light and views.
The primary suite was given greater privacy through a dressing-room entry sequence, and the children’s room was planned as a flexible space that can later be divided into two separate rooms as the family’s needs evolve.

Project Overview

Overview Image

Warm minimalism for contemporary family life.
The home combines a restrained architectural language with natural materials and warm tones, creating a contemporary interior that feels both refined and comfortable.

The living room, kitchen, and garden are visually connected to bring natural light and landscape deeper into the home. Curved furniture and selected art pieces soften the clean architectural backdrop, creating a relaxed, gallery-like atmosphere without losing the practicality required for family living.

Design Approach

Design Approach Image

Open where it should connect. Private where it should retreat.
The public spaces were opened up to create a stronger relationship between the living room and kitchen, with continuous wood finishes across walls and ceilings reinforcing the sense of one expansive space.

More private areas were designed with greater separation. The primary bedroom is approached through a dressing area, creating a more protected sequence, while the bathroom includes double vanities and a tub positioned toward the landscape. The children’s room was designed with future flexibility in mind, allowing the space to be divided as the family changes.

Details

Detail Image

A restrained palette, enriched through texture.
Light flooring, white ceilings, and warm wood establish the overall sense of calm, while darker kitchen cabinetry, black window frames, and magnetic lighting introduce sharper contrast in the shared areas.

A home bar adds a focal point to the kitchen, while the bathrooms combine textured tile, stone-like vanities, and glass block to create depth and tactility. In the children’s room, playful color, a bunk bed, and integrated play elements bring a lighter personality, while lighting details at the entry add both function and a more considered sense of arrival.
